We keep certain basic information when you visit our website and recognise the importance of keeping that information secure and letting you know what we will do with it.

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

We receive your personal data when you apply directly for an advertised role via our website; when you apply directly to be a candidate for whom we can facilitate a job search; when you apply via a third party when you respond to a job post placed by ESP Recruitment on a job board on behalf of a third party client; when you contact one of our Recruitment Consultants directly regarding your job search for a particular job role; or when you send an update CV directly to one of our Recruitment Consultants.

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site esprecruitment.co.uk. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site.
  • We may collect personal data about you from third parties, such as references supplied by former employers. We will seek this information only once a job offer has been made and we will inform you that we are doing so.
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
  • We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
  • Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs, operating system, browser usage and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.

If your application is unsuccessful, ESP Recruitment may keep your personal data on file in case there are future employment opportunities for which you may be suited.

JOB ALERTS

We may on occasion contact candidates stored on our database who are not actively looking for a new role. When you apply for a job through our website or a third party job board, you are providing consent for ESP to store and process your personal data, and are also providing consent for us to contact you if we receive details of a role which specifically matches your criteria. We will only do this where you, the potential candidate, meet a detailed brief provided by one of our clients, and where you have provided explicit consent to us storing and using your data.

IP ADDRESSES AND COOKIES

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual and we will not collect personal information in this way.

We may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. They enable us:

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

NOTIFICATION OF BREACHES

We are aware of our responsibility as a recruiter to protect your information and to only share details with third parties upon receipt of your explicit consent. All of our systems are protected and only ESP Recruitment staff and consultants working for ESP Recruitment have access to the personal information stored in your registration.

In the unlikely event that our computer systems are compromised and there is a potential loss of confidentiality we will report this breach to you within 72 hours of being notified and take any action necessary to restore security of your personal data.

RETENTION OF YOUR DATA

Your data will be retained for no longer than is necessary and in accordance with our Data Retention Policy.

WHAT IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE PERSONAL DATA

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to ESP Recruitment during the recruitment process. However, if you do not provide the information, we may not be able to process your application properly or at all.
