A mid-sized full service agency, currently based in Hampshire, but moving to Berkshire in the coming months, seek an experienced Event Operations Director, with experience of event delivery at senior level for a 6 month contract, with a view to becoming permanent. This role will immediately be working on the delivery of a portfolio of Executive Retreats, but in time will work on conferences, incentive travel and a wide variety of high-end corporate events for their clients. You will have excellent experience of managing business and event operations, as well as strong man-management experience and be able to manage senior level client relationships with professionalism and gravitas.

Responsibilities include:

* Successfully manage project teams, ensuring fluid communication, direction and guidance across all internal departments
* Project manage the team to ensure they develop creative engaging experiences that are relevant to set objectives, brands, marketplace and budgets
* Allocate appropriate resources depending on needs of specific client or project
* Coach, train and mentor people across the organisation
* Principle client and account contact, including responsibility for growth and profitability
* Managing events across all aspects of a fully integrated agency, ensuring the quality of delivery is maintained to the highest degree whilst meeting objectives and ensuring excellence in delivery within set time frames and budgets
* Working across all departments, managing multiple events in locations worldwide, including conferences, incentives, in-house events and executive retreats
* Execute full costing, proposals, presentations and resources for new and existing client pitches
* Overall project management and responsibility for the planning, implementation, execution and post event analysis to ensure ongoing quality improvement
* Fully involved in all aspects of event planning and execution including sourcing venues, venue contract negotiation/management, registration, housing, F&B, temp staff, signage, people flow, security and Health & Safety. From initial site visits through to delivery and post event
* Financial management - accountable for multi-currency budget development, management, cost savings and full reconciliation, both internally and on behalf of clients
* Strong relationship management with client leads and Internal Managers
* Effective management of 3rd party event suppliers and contracts and service level agreements
