StartUp Marketing Manager

Working for a dynamic organisation based between the UK and Europe as StartUp Marketing Manager, you will report to the Head of Marketing and work closely with the Business Director for startups, Director of Conference Production, Head of Delegate Sales and Head of Sponsorship Sales and Operations team. You will be responsible for developing the company's Startup Programme, including onsite delivery, generating quality engagement with our startup programme, event attendance numbers, delegate revenue targets and sales leads to the Sponsorship team.


* 5+ years of corporate paid events marketing experience
* Demonstrable track record in driving the right quality and quantity of delegates and exhibition visitors to events, and scaling events from the last year
* Deep understanding of integrated omni-channel delegate acquisition strategies and associated tools: web, email, social media, third-party barters, tele sales, digital advertising, direct mail, and local/grassroots marketing
* Experience in the HR sector along with knowledge of key digital business and technology trends is a strong plus
* Knowledge and experience of marketing globally, as well as experience working in a multinational company with internal teams spread across multiple locations around the world
* Technology proficiencies: Salesforce, Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey, social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.), PURL campaigns, etc.
* Ability to travel to Hungary, London and globally when required
* Finance Management:

o Creation a marketing budget per event for approval.

o Monitors budget spend and forecasts

Person Specification:

You will have a passion for and interest in, the startup world, plus strong track record of b2b trade show growth in these areas and will be able to demonstrate this in interview. You will be able to increase interest in the company's programme as it expands and build their leads delivered to telesales, increase direct conference pass sales through the website and to increase the number of expo-only visitors to the exhibitions.

* Excellent project management skills from tactical delivery to budget management
* Exceptional interpersonal skills, including managing demanding people and difficult situations
* Hyper organized and able to continually multi-task across several tasks at the same time with multiple competing deliverables
* Comfortable with data and regular reporting up to senior management level and required knowledge of tools including Mailchimp, Salesforce, SurveyMonkey etc.
* Experience of working in a B2B event context in a global environment
* Comfortable working remotely

Accountable for large revenue and attendance targets and working to tight deadlines
