Social Media Manager - Events
A dynamic event organiser based between the UK and Europe seeks a Social Media Manager who will report to the Head of Marketing to work across a portfolio of large scale global events in the technology sector. The role will involve developing a digital campaign strategy to increase reach and visitor/exhibitor numbers. You will guide & ensure implementation of the strategy by the show teams across Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and blogs, whilst optimising all websites and ensuring digital visibility for their shows through SEO and working closely with the PPC manager. You will need to have a strong track record of social media marketing ideally within an events arena and will be able to demonstrate event growth.

* Ensure effective tracking & reporting for all digital & social marketing activities to show teams
* Bring cutting-edge expertise in digital marketing technologies and approaches
* Contribute to the decision making on the web, social & mobile strategy together with the Marketing Director and in line with the event strategy
* Keep up to date on trends new tools, apps, platforms, networks, etc. in digital & social media, and ensure that the required knowledge reaches out across the event teams
* Ensure that all digital communication follows the legislation and industry agreements for the relevant countries
* Be recognised internally as an expert in web, social & mobile and be followed in his/her recommendations
* Implement a strategy with a real impact on business: increased visitors through digital & social channels, increased website traffic
* Increase social & digital media engagement, contributing towards visible increases in opt-in data
* Knowledge & control of digital, social & mobile tools
* Completion & presentation of digital & social media strategy, and action plan; including full web audit

* Demonstrable track record in driving the right quality and quantity of delegates and exhibition visitors to events, and scaling events from the last year
* Experience working in a multi-national company with internal teams spread across multiple locations around the world
* Technology proficiencies: Salesforce, Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey, social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.), PURL campaigns, etc.

Main processes, systems, tools used
* Be a superuser in all systems and tools for digital and social media: Google Analytics, Google Webmaster, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Hootsuite, Typo3, SmartFocus, ExactTarget…

Education and Qualifications
Higher education (university) or equivalent through sufficient experience. Webmaster with marketing & technical knowledge of web tools (CMS, social & mobile tools, e-mailing tool); Html knowledge.
Experience (professional or industry knowledge, level of expertise,...)
* At least 3-5 yrs in digital marketing; events exposure is required
* Strong interest and knowledge of trends, suppliers and relevant actors in the field of digital marketing
* Technical interest and knowledge in basic programming for web (CMS, social and mobile tools, e-mail tools and the like)
* Coaching skills, problem-solver, organisation & planning skills
