A dynamic, successful publishing and events company is seeking a Group Show Director. This is a progressive organisation that puts its customers and people first. They create market-leading events and information products that help their customers succeed and in turn drive their growth.

As a Group Show Director, who will be responsible for 8 shows generating around £4m in sales annually

The role includes the creation and management of the annual budget and sales and marketing plans to deliver this, built from robust product and market analysis.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Product Strategy and Development

* Ensuring our exhibitions series remains the successful core of their offer, with YoY increases in square metres sold and visitor attendance.
* Quickly building a strong understanding and knowledge of the specific market to ensure we realise all opportunities as the number one media operator
* Developing and managing project plans to ensure the brands continually evolve and they continually improve the business
* Placing customers at the heart of all product development, using primary research and ensuring that all feedback is used to transform and improve our brands
* Oversee the ongoing rapid growth of our content-led digital product, Confetti.co.uk

Financial Management and Reporting

* Assessing, monitoring and improving sales efficiency by conducting regular analysis of KPI's
* Oversee weekly reports on trading and pipelines across the portfolio
* Using our systems and in-house digital agency to measure effectiveness of marketing campaigns, to improve marketing spend and optimise revenue
* Pro-actively assess sales and product performance and take steps to ensure overall targets and objectives are met
* Creating and managing annual budgets and providing accurate forecasts as required
* Work with Finance to produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts and year-end figures

Knowledge, Skills, Attitude and Behaviours

* A proven excellent understanding of exhibitions
* Experience on consumer shows is helpful but not essential
* A track record running print or digital publications is helpful but not essential
* With eight exhibitions a year (all weekends), a very strong work ethic
* Extensive P&L / commercial experience and ability to forecast effectively
* Strong commercial leadership to maintain our culture of success and high performance
* Excellent sales, planning and organisational skills - the GSD is managing lots of products
