A leading UK-based consumer and trade -focused events company who create and organise innovative, premium and creative events that target the passions and interests of carefully chosen niche audiences, are now looking for a Sales Manager to join their team. An ambitious, fast-growing company which have expanded organically to over 60 employees and currently own and run 16 annual events. These premium, passion-led events run across the UK and Ireland including London, Birmingham, Glasgow & Dublin, attracting over 400,000 visitors annually.

Main Activities:

* Ultimately responsible for achieving the stand sales revenue target
* Creation and management of the sales campaign
* Identify new exhibitors via research - web, magazines, competitor events
* Add new prospects to filemaker database and accurately maintain existing records ensuring information is updated throughout the campaign
* Make sales calls to existing and potential new exhibitors
* Contribute to the creation of sales material and manage sales mailings
* Production of all sales contracts and chasing return
* Manage and keep sales figures up to date. Responsible for the weekly sales report figures to be submitted to management team.
* Effectively develop and manage customer relationships
* Responsible for the planning and delivery of all exhibitor communications
* To liaise directly with exhibitors to ensure they are aware of relevant marketing activity and that they maximise marketing opportunities
* Manage floor plan including layout in conjunction with the Fair Director
* Liaise with Venue Services team on stand plans, lighting and other stand extras
* Prepare and manage delivery of welcome packs to exhibitors
* Management of sales executive or interns if applicable
* Help source and collate marketing data (including exhibitor research) to inform post-show reports
* Producing the post-show sales report and plan focusing on the next 12 months

Skills/Attributes Required:

* Knowledge of fashion/design/creative sector
* Willingness and ability to sell
* Attention to detail
* Time management including the ability to prioritise
* Excellent communication skills - telephone, written and face to face
* Customer service and relationship management skills
* Self-motivated and open to increased responsibility
* Basic marketing planning experience
* Strong IT skills (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook)
* Financial accuracy and planning
* Management and mentoring skills
* Presentation skills (powerpoint and verbal)
