A charitable organisation in London, seeks an experienced events professional ideally from the charitable or not-for-profit sector to take on an exciting 18 month contract to project manage a series of celebratory events for the organisation.

This highly respected organisation is hitting two anniversary milestones in the next 18 months and they would like to organise a series of events to celebrate, which will include high profile visits, a drinks reception, a Summer ball, a series of events over a weekend for past and present members and a series of lectures.

You will organise these events from end to end, working with senior stakeholders and internal departments, including an in-house catering team, to create a series of memorable, celebratory events.

Key responsibilities

1 Organise and attend Anniversary event/activity planning meetings and identify the requirements and expectations for each event/activity with the relevant Executive team lead
2 Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal staff (including the Commercial Events team) to ensure events and activities are delivered on budget and to a high standard
3 To book all event requirements through the Commercial Events team ensuring that the companies requirements are communicated and met
4 Manage all event/activity administration including invitation design and print, guests lists, communications and running orders whilst making sure the appropriate sign off from the relevant Executive team member is secured
5 Work closely with the Marketing and Communications teams to promote events and activities to Alumni and other relevant audiences

1 Help develop the new Alumni engagement software platform and to encourage Alumni to sign up and interact with the platform

The ideal candidate with have extensive experience organising a wide range of events and is used to working in an autonomous role. You will have worked in a charity, association or educational institution within an events role and be used to managing a budget.

You will need to be available with a months' notice or less.

Experience

Proven experience of event management

Proven experience of delivering events to a high standard

Experience of working with VIPs

Proven experience of liaising with internal staff including Senior Managers

Experience of Raiser's Edge, Rendevous or similar CRM system
