A large charity organisation is looking for an experienced Events Coordinator to join them on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to add some excellent experience on a short term basis.

You will be working within the Events team, proactively selling, coordinating and delivering events including but not exclusively; meetings, conferences, receptions, exhibition launches, breakfasts, private views and charity events.


* To reach and wherever possible exceed revenue targets by identifying and targeting new and existing key companies within a defined region.
* To engage new clients through marketing and social media, FAM trips, site show-rounds, and represent the venue at industry networking events and exhibitions.
* Ensure that all events are immaculately organised and meet the high standards expected.

* Liaise with clients regarding all logistical aspects of their event including security, AV, and the upselling of catering and other value add services/products alongside events spaces

* Co-ordinate the scheduling of events in the Centre's diary to ensure efficient diary management and to update and share operational information.

* Undertake event management including duty management and logistics on the day ensuring the smooth running of events and that our clients have the best possible experience.

* Ability to lead a team when needed and manage larger revenue generating events end to end.

* Assist the Events Manager in maintaining an overview of the budget and finance systems by keeping appropriate spreadsheets up to date.

* Assist with the development of social media pages and campaigns and have the ability to manage specialist online venue platforms.

* Have demonstrable event venue experience
* Have an excellent understanding of the events industry
* Have great attention to detail and be level-headed and responsible
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Have proven organisational skills and the ability to oversee, devise and manage operational procedures to the highest standards
* Have outstanding customer service skills
* Be able to use own initiative, take responsibility for tasks and complete efficiently

Desirable skills

* Proactive selling
* Experience working on social media campaigns and/or specialised media venue hire platforms within an organisation
* Experience of the private events and wedding market
