Our client, a global financial services company seeks an experienced Head of EMEA Events, reporting into the Group Global Head of Events to oversee the EMEA portfolio of events both company owned and 3rd party events, as well as teleconferences, webinars, etc. Collaborating with internal and external partners, this role works across a portfolio of 150-200 events a year within EMEA and involves liaising closely with the various Heads of Marketing for the different company businesses as well as the wider Group Marketing functions to ensure that their events are well promoted, attended and executed and that their presence at events is well managed, professional, measured and aligned with business strategy.
The key responsibilities for this role include:
* Work with Global Head of Events to standardise processes and protocols
* Oversee team of 4 planners: 2 in London, 1 in Frankfurt, 1 in Paris. Mentor Team and foster growth to elevate the team.
* Meet regularly with Heads of Marketing to understand short & long term business objectives across new business, renewals, and brand.
* Keep Business management teams informed & educated on Event best practices, including pre- and post-communications, measurement, etc.
* Performance metrics: Contribution to & delivery of marketing plans.
* Assist in developing most compelling content for program that engages attendees.
* Produce post-event reporting and detailed analysis.
* Ensure the group of companies are represented at every event.
* Extensive relevant Event Management experience including conferences, seminars, product launches, round table meetings, breakfast briefings as well as webinars and teleconferences.
* Must be forward looking, detail oriented, and proactive with proven project management skills.
* Proven results in delivery of global events - both industry and owned
* Solid understanding of marketing technology and social platforms. Knowledge of Marketo, cvent and ON24 definite plus.
* Ability to think strategically and guide key stakeholders.
* Proficiency in budget management.
* Must be a team player, adaptable to fast-paced, changing environment; with ability to work closely with multiple departments.
* Willingness to travel internationally
* Based in London
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of a wide range of global events ideally from a corporate environment, have strong leadership experience and be able to work closely and comfortably with high profile stakeholders and delegates. Must be both strategic and hands on with the events and the team.
