One of Europe's leading exhibition and events organisers of B2B trade shows seeks a Portfolio Director. The role holder will have deep knowledge and substantial experience of technical or specialized complex domains (5 to 12 years) Introduces external innovation and ideas in regards to complex methods and techniques.

KEY TASKS :

* Visible impact on the overall results. Interprets company programs & action plans and makes tactical decisions about how to achieve them. Coordination of strategic activities at organization level.
* Identifies and addresses changing customer requirements.
* Control of activities guided by general department/organization objectives.
* Strong knowledge of the organization and sector(s) of activity within the scope of own area.
* Frequent interaction with internal & external customers or stakeholders. Negotiations and decisions of great importance to the organization.
* Uses broader systems/processes knowledge to solve more complex problems. Exposed to a large variety of situations requiring advanced analysis and interpretation skills. Few norms and methods in a very complex environment.
* Constantly seeking and implementing improvements in (major) processes.
* Manages one or more project team(s) in new and/or complex area(s) guided by operational targets for a period of up to 24 months. Responsibility of planning, budgeting, people management and results. (Heads large or cross-functional project teams, team members are normally experts from different technical domains)
* Draft event portfolio P&L and manage it on a day to day basis incl. ensuring marketing leadership - Lead, coach and validate action plans
* Develop business: data strategy, new business models, extra revenues, geo-cloning, launch of satellites, sponsoring, subsidies, multi-show deals, ...

* Manage people: team building, coaching, sharing of best practices, team evaluation & development, resources planning

The successful candidate will have Minimum 5-10 y experience in large units and project management, Knowledge in MICE industry: not a must, but a plus.
