An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Manager in a not for profit professional association within the energy sector.

The Marketing Manager's core responsibility will be remotely manage a Marketing Specialist based in Russia, and develop and implement effective marketing strategies and communication plans to promote the organisation's events and activities across Europe, Russia, and Caspian.

* Develop and implement effective event marketing and PR plans for call for papers, sales, delegate and visitor campaigns.
* Track ROI on various campaign components, evaluate marketing campaign results and recommend future action.
* Work directly with other regional and global marketing staff to provide input to overall marketing best practices and strategies.
* Manage budgets including tracking of committed and actual expenditures.
* Ensure regional marketing activities are in line with global brand guidelines.
* Maintain inter-department relationships (Events, Sales, HR, Membership, Operations and Research).
* Manage design and collateral development and production for the region.
* Manage the trading and purchasing of advertising in print and online media for the region.
* Manage digital advertising including Google AdWords and paid Social Media for the region.
* Manage the regional email campaigns, including writing, scheduling and tracking of targeted email campaigns.
* Write, edit, proofread and approve content for brochures, advertisements, emails, conference previews and programmes, websites, press releases, PowerPoint presentations, trade show signage and displays, multimedia, and other materials.
* Perform line manager duties including distribution and monitoring of workload, personal development plans and developing team goals.
* Perform other duties as assigned.


* Excellent at managing priorities to ensure on-time delivery of multiple projects with
competing deadlines simultaneously.
* Has a good eye for creative; advanced skills in working with creative staff in producing
materials that effectively communicate project goals and reinforce organisational
* Flexible; can easily work with many different people in different departments and
functions, local and long distance.
* Experience with email broadcast and web content management systems.
* Strong analytical skills and understanding of email marketing, direct mail, and web
* Strong experience level in Microsoft Office software.
* Experience in Adobe InDesign advantageous.

This role would suit an accomplished marketer with a strong understanding of how to market events and/or tradeshows and the ability to manage projects from concept to production. Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally.
