A prestigious organisation in Central London seeks an enthusiastic and driven Sales and Events Co-ordinator to assist the Events Office Sales Team in reactively selling the service and facilities of their stunning and elegant events venue. You will assist in the administration of the internal/external bookings from internal departments and external clients. You will also work alongside the Events team to ensure that all meetings and events planned by the events office are properly organised and efficiently run. The ideal candidate will have previously worked for a venue, managing their reactive sales calls efficiently and effectively. This is a fixed term 1 year position which may be extended.


* Use in-house CRM system to enter internal and external business enquiries.
* Respond to enquiries received by phone, email.
* Arrange site visits for every new client gained and conduct subsequent show rounds.
* Effective diary management at all times including regular follow-up on tentative enquiries to ensure conversion or account penetration for a future event.
* Liaise with internal departments within the venue to administer their meeting room bookings. Regular revision of the details on bookings ensuring the timings, room hire and information is correct.
* Ensure that all clients receive full attention to detail throughout the event. Discuss with the clients their catering and audio visual requirements.
* Effective diary administration at all times including regular follow-up on tentative enquiries.
* Ensure the smooth running of events on the day of the event, working with the Operational Managers when required.
* Assist in collating, arranging printing and distribution of the weekly function sheets to the departmental managers.
* Assist with price benchmarking projects against competitor venues.
* Produce function menus/place cards/seating plans where applicable.
* Support all members of the Events Team as and when necessary at the request of the Events Office Manager.
* Opportunity to support the Marketing Executive on benchmarking, social media, blogs and copywriting.
* Opportunity to work with smaller contracts for new and existing clients to develop further business via account penetration


Experience in a venue or hotel environment

Demonstrable success in face-to-face discussions with clients

Professional client management

Working with multiple teams to create a successful outcome for the client

Exceptional organisation skills with attention to every detail

Self motivated and able to work well under pressure

Working towards or have gained an Events Management degree is desirable

Good product knowledge - room layout possibilities, food, wines etc
