A leading global exhibition organiser is recruiting for a Sales Manager to join the International Sales team. You will be a customer focussed, results orientated individual who demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with excellent presentation & negotiation capabilities and ability to work as a member of this global team.

The role will involve internal and external sales activities, including face to face meetings with prospects and clients, attending competitive events and a high-volume of phone calls and emails. You will be responsible for achieving event revenue targets whilst generating revenue opportunities from existing and new clients.

Specific responsibilities will include:

* Sell exhibition space and chalet hospitality for the show portfolio
* Sell sponsorship packages
* Responsible for achieving personal and team sales targets
* Research and qualify new sales leads from regional publications show catalogues, websites, directories etc.
* Visit relevant exhibitions in the region and internationally as agreed with the line manager
* Work with the team to develop sales presentations
* Work with the team to develop marketing for the events
* Develop and maintain a budget for your region's Sales expenditures, to be agreed with the Show Director
* Research and develop ideas for new sales and new events.
* Help maintain relevant areas of the event websites to ensure all the information is up to date.
* Work with the Show Team to ensure the floorplans are regularly updated and accurate.
* Working with the Show Team, attend relevant receptions, host meetings and give presentations where required
* Work with the Project Manager to ensure all customers requirements are met and processed for the shows
* Collate all relevant market information for the region, to be circulated to the sales team and used in show literature when required.
* Responsible for overall keeping of a monthly sales report and an accurate Sales Pipeline.
* Maintain subscriptions for all regional aerospace and general publications required for the shows for your region.
* Work with the Sales Team to generate visitors/delegates/delegations to the events, help build database, mailings and general PR/promotion.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

* Educated to University degree standard or equivalent
* Sales experience in an exhibition sales environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Comfortable working under pressure and varying time zones
* Confident self-starter able to work well on own initiative and within a team
* High Energy and Positive Attitude
* Willingness to take on a high level of responsibility and manage key relationships with large customers
* Ability to ask consultative, probing questions in order to identify and handle objections
* Ability to communicate effectively on the phone, in person and electronically
* Ability to close business and identify cross and up selling opportunities
* Experience managing multiple clients
* Willingness to travel
* Experience with Salesforce (CRM) desired
