A high profile not-for-profit organisation seeks a Business Development Officer to sell sponsorship,exhibition packages and delegates places across a large flagship event, a portfolio of smaller conferences and award ceremonies. You will identify new sales leads and build relationships to deliver repeat sales and well as account managing past clients. The ideal candidate will be commercially aware and have proven experience in the events industry, with an understanding of event sales cycles.

Main responsibilities:

* In coordination with the Business Development Manager, make sponsorship and exhibition space sales approaches, pitch and close
* Working with the Business Development Manager and in co-operation with the clients, draft sales proposals
* Deliver agreed sales targets
* Work closely with the Events Team, and other teams as required, to ensure effective sponsorship implementation
* Produce and implement individual sales plans in line with agreed budgets
* Attend internal and external meetings as appropriate, with some occasional travel.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial conference sponsorship professional to break away from the churn and burn and work for a very well respected organisation with quality events with CEO level speakers who are the leaders in their field.
