An event support services company seeks a Sales and Development Director, to focus on business development and overall management and mentoring of their UK office. With a focus to drive sales in all sectors, you will oversee, manage and mentor the team to maximise efficiency, quality and productivity. The role will hold overall responsibility for the planning and implementation of the company's sales strategy for the future growth of the business, defining long and short term strategic goals, regular reporting and the identification of business opportunities through to negotiating and closing business deals.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable sales experience, with the ability to communicate, present and influence at all levels of the organization and the proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close. You will also be able to develop client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions.

This is a global role and although based in the UK will work closely with the Middle East offices and be expected to travel.

Main Responsibilities

* Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and to expand the company's customer base
* Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
* Set sales targets and KPIs
* Oversee day to day activities of sales/account handling teams and monitor objectives
* Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends
* Represent the organisation at conferences, trade shows, and networking events
* Assist the management team with the delivery of large projects
* Manage, retain and develop existing client relationships
* Attend client meetings to receive project briefs or present proposals and reports
* Source new clients, arrange and attend meetings to generate new business and manage relationships accordingly
* Manage client needs and continuously develop client management process
