This well established boutique venue finding agency is recruiting for a Sales and Marketing Director to join the business and assist in launching a new events management division. With new investment and support in place, the successful individual will be an integral part of the new venture. Helping to shape a commercial strategy for developing new business and creating awareness of new products and services, you will be integral in the launch of a new website, marketing, brand identity and sales and marketing processes.

The successful candidate will have held a senior level position within a similar agency with a demonstrable understanding of the meetings and events industry and a proven track record in managing client expectations and delivering sales growth and profitability. A strategic and commercially adept individual, you will be an expert in managing key client relationships as well as managing internal teams with the ability to develop and motivate.

Other responsibilities are as follows:

* Driving top line revenue growth through an integrated marketing and sales plan, building a deep and broad sales pipeline and driving conversion of 'ad-hoc' client relationships to being their agency of choice
* Converting new business opportunities through networking and client relationship development
* Maintaining a visible, communicative relationship with both current and potential clients
* Developing client business, both at a strategic and tactical level
* Participating in trade shows, networking opportunities or other events related to sales development
* Identifying and targeting strategy clients
* Involving operations team early in pre-sales process to enable a seamless handover post sale
* Ensuring an in-depth and up to date understanding of all the solutions / expertise available
* Leading the creation and development of sales credentials, collateral, RFI/RFP pre-prepared content and marketing materials
* Reviewing and approving pricing and contracting elements of all new business proposals, maintaining a key focus on profitable growth working within agreed procedures and approval processes
