A leading UK-based consumer-focused events company who create and organise innovative, premium and stylish consumer and trade events that target the passions and interests of carefully chosen niche audiences is seeking an Event Director to be responsible for managing the day to day running of a show, creating and managing the entire budget for the event. You will undertake account management of key sales and sponsorship clients and grow the show's contribution both reactively and proactively by identifying potential opportunities to develop the show through new content, organic growth and brand extension.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing the P&L at the gross and net contribution levels for the show/event
* Ensuring budgets are tracked and monitored, responding promptly to problem areas of a show, finding effective solutions to ensure numbers are achieved and any issues of greater concern are raised at board level in a timely fashion
* Understanding exhibitor requirements and feedback including analysis of exhibitor survey data and related NPS scores
* Creating a sales plan for the show that includes:
* Producing a weekly sales pipeline report outlining key achievements and performance
* Performance managing the Sales Team using ongoing feedback, regular 1-2-1s and appraisals
* Managing workload of the Sales Team and providing support with job duties and responsibilities as appropriate
* Project managing the successful delivery of your and your team's key client accounts as verified by clients' post event feedback from telephone conversations and on-site visits as appropriate
* Working with the marketing team to identify a targeted marketing plan for the show
* Signing off the creative campaign and monitoring collateral on an ongoing basis
* Monitoring the PR campaign to ensure activity is delivered efficiently and cost effectively
* Building relationships with the industry stakeholders including the key companies of influence, media owners and associations. Wherever possible to explore potential marketing opportunities, event partnerships, new revenue streams and cost savings from these relationships
* Closely monitoring key competitors and identify their strengths and weaknesses versus your show
* Identifying any opportunities for expansion/cloning of the show
* Attending relevant trade fair/exhibitions/networking events as requested by the PD
* Participating in familiarisation trips, site inspections and client entertaining as requested (which may include out of hours and weekends)
