An award-winning venue portfolio seeks a Diary Manager to support the Sales Manager in achieving sales for the venue by managing and ensuring maximisation of incoming sales enquiries and yield. You will support the reactive team, ensuring the sales strategy is achieved together with the highest standards of sales and customer service delivered at all times. A results oriented individual, you will have knowledge of CRM principles, with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Main duties

* Ensure all incoming enquiries are dealt with professionally on a daily basis by phone or email
* Ensure all enquiries are sold to the correct capacities and rates based on client requirements and demand.
* Manage the correct business mix.
* Liaise with proactive sales team on site and centrally to ensure clients are offered best possible solutions for their requirements.
* Prepare and send quotes and contracts to clients.
* Conduct show rounds and to meet and greet.
* Monitor correct input of bookings ensuring scripting and revenue on all bookings are correct on a daily basis.
* Track bookings at other venues to monitor duplicate bookings and revenue.
* Liaise with other venues to ensure referrals are confirmed at sister venues at the best yield and occupancy.
* Support the Sales Manager on a daily basis and carry out performance appraisals with training and development programmes if required.
* Foster a collaborative and strong working relationship between the proactive and reactive teams.
* Actively be part of account management teams for venue accounts, including preparation of data for review meetings and setting of account activities to grow accounts.
* Explore existing clients to ensure the company has identified all opportunities for revenue generation from each account/client by building and maintaining positive relationships.
* Research accounts to identify buying influences, need for services, use of competitors' services and plan the sales approach and proactively target opportunities.
