A distinctive venue in the heart of the City seeks an Event Sales Executive to work in a varied role of reactive sales and event planning. Taking ownership of an event from the first point of enquiry, you will take the client through the sale process, managing the planning up to the day of the event before handing over to the Operations team on the day of the event. The ideal candidate will display passion and drive for the events industry and have some event sales or planning experience in a venue or events company.

Main Duties include:

* Effectively selling the smaller event spaces at the venue, by liaising with clients on a re-active basis in an attempt to win new business for the venue
* Conducting pricing and contract negotiation to increase the utilisation of the venue's event space
* Hosting clients for site visits, menu tastings, event logistics meetings and other on and offsite hospitality to win business and develop account relationships
* Developing a thorough understanding of the various services offered by venue, to support clients in as much of the event planning as is required (e.g. food and beverage choices, AV and theme requirements)
* Identifying any opportunities for further account development and working alongside the Business Development team to increase the yield from key accounts
* Ad-hoc sales and marketing duties, including client entertaining, attending networking events and exhibitions and menu tastings as required by the Event Sales Director.
