A well-known charity seeks an Exhibition and Sponsorship Sales Manager for a contract role, to raise income for its annual conference and a number of other events. You will develop and implement the sales and marketing strategy for the exhibition and sponsorship element of the conference and ensure delivery of excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B conference exhibition and sponsorship sales, with a track record of managing significant income and expenditure budgets to agreed targets. You will be commercially astute and capable of identifying business opportunities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Personally sell exhibition space and sponsorship opportunities to existing and prospective exhibitors and sponsors and achieve and exceed agreed sales targets.
* Cultivate and manage relationships with exhibitors and sponsors throughout the year and be onsite during the conference period to manage relationships and ensure all contractual arrangements are met
* Identify opportunities for developing the exhibition and corporate element of the conference in order to generate income and meet the changing needs of sponsors, exhibitors and delegates
* Understand the values of the charity and its strategic purpose and ensure that no corporate agreement conflicts with these
* Produce copy for and oversee the design and production of all exhibition and sponsorship sales collateral and the exhibition and sponsorship elements of the Conference Guide
* Work collaboratively with the Event Manager to ensure smooth delivery of the exhibition and sponsorship elements of the conference and with external contractors on the design and build of the exhibition.
* Ensure, with the assistance of the legal and finance teams, that all contracts with exhibitors and sponsors are agreed and signed in advance of the conference and that all exhibitors and sponsors have been invoiced and have paid prior to the conference
* Oversee the Event Co-ordinators on agreed administrative elements of exhibition and sponsorship sales.
* Work closely with the charity's Philanthropy and Partnerships team to ensure there is synergy with their activities and also so that sponsorship opportunities for the charity as a whole are maximised.
* Keep up to date with current ABPI and related regulations
* Keep up to date with developments in the conference and exhibition industry and keep informed of other conferences and exhibitions in the sector.
