An international B2B events and trade exhibitions company seeks a Senior Operations Manager for delivering exceptional UK & Global events. You will be the first point of contact for our local resource management and assist sourcing in each territory, along with managing the delivery of UK events to ensure the highest quality and operationally excellent show standards, both in UK and abroad.

The successful candidate will be a confident and highly organised individual, with excellent interpersonal skills. You will operate on an International Operations hub to manage the shows and ensure brand values are exceptionally maintained. Working alongside the Director of Operations, this role will develop and assist in managing the operations for both overseas & UK events.

Key Responsibilities:

* To carry out all operational event organising duties, utilising a hands on approach for events where necessary and agreed with the Director of Operations for both UK & International Events.
* Managing your team and their delivery for UK & International events within your portfolio, along with monitoring the Local Operations Managers, and all contractors.
* To assist with the appointing of International local resource for each region/territory and to fully understand and influence local methods of show delivery & to negotiate and appoint contractors where applicable in collaboration with UK procurement team.
* To develop and maintain the international and UK operations blue print, ensuring each territory is measured and controlled.
* To co-ordinate and ensure, that "best practice" standards are being met events and that the AE Health and Safety procedures are in place and working on all shows.
* To ensure problem-free planning, exhibitor liaison, build-up, open days and breakdown for each event both UK and globally, providing the best possible customer service for our exhibitors and visitors.
* Develop, adapt and improve services offered to exhibitors and visitors in line with show/department/company objectives.
* In partnership with the Deputy Director of Operations and local resource, formulate and fully control and operational budget.
* To ensure that floorplan layouts meet the requirements of the individual exhibition based on their objectives and strategy.
* Ensure the training, development and appraising (on a regular basis) of all operations staff, within the agreed portfolio.
