Working for a mid-sized event and media company, this brand new role of Event Experience Manager, is central to my clients ambitious growth plans and requires focus on the delivery of exceptional end to end customer journeys for all of their event participants. The events are a portfolio of large scale global events with strong content and an element of networking. All the events receive strong positive feedback on the back of measurable ROI delivered to customers, which underpins a significant opportunity for growth though optimisation, by moving to larger venues and adding new launches. The events are delivered as part of an integrated approach focussing on the delivery of high-intent leads. Many customers sponsor the events as part of a wider marketing services activity and delegates are often also subscribers to digital content. With an office in London and Spain, this role could be based in either London or Madrid and reports to the Head of Events.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Events to ensure the high-quality delivery of each event. They will be specifically responsible for the delivery of outstanding experiences at every touch point along each customer journey, from the moment a customer interacts with a piece of their marketing, through their multiple digital and pre-event interactions and all the way to their post-event engagement and feedback. The Event Experience Manager will be looking for ways to make each journey as frictionless as possible. They will need to work with colleagues in sales, marketing, content, operations, technology and finance.

They will have experience with the latest event technology and best practices in event delivery across marketing, sales and operations. They will bring fresh new ideas; be brave to innovate, test and iterate.

The ideal candidate can come from any discipline or background in events, but must have a good understanding of all the other disciplines.

You will have a global mindset and be happy to travel frequently. It would be useful, but not essential to have language skills.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

* Deliver outstanding end to end customer journey and live event experiences, aligned with the overall brand and values
* Work with the tech team to implement the best event technology, integrating event data with the customer data platform to drive insights
* Continually improve and iterate the event model to drive more meaningful connections for each participant
* Build customer relationships, developing extensive knowledge of the businesses, their key processes and profit drivers and short/medium/long term objectives
* Work with the Head of Events to develop detailed plans for growth and development of their events
* Continually review customer needs, identifying business development opportunities and develop new products to meet these needs
* Work closely with the sales team to design and implement innovative new products, features and activations which deliver exceptional value - attend sales meetings with customers to present ideas and pitch concepts
* Work closely with marketing team to ensure that all communications and touch points are aligned, effective and personalised to achieve maximum attendance and revenues
