An exciting role has become available for a portfolio of unique venues around the UK, with a variety of unusual spaces that are perfect for weddings, receptions, dinners, conferences and meetings. Ideally based in Hampshire, they are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic event professional to lead on the proactive sales and marketing of commercial events and filming across all of their sites. As well as leading on venue hire sales and marketing, you will also be the central point of guidance for their on-site events teams advising on complex bookings, ensuring high operational standards and developing key relationships with external suppliers

The successful candidate will be target driven with excellent people skills, inspiring their teams to deliver the best possible service for our clients.

Key opportunities

* Shape the venue hire offer across 6 unique locations
* Develop and deliver event sales and marketing planning, with the responsibility of meeting revenue and profit targets year on year.
* Take responsibility for the delivery of venue hire targets. This will include working with the Head of Commercial Services to budget and reforecast throughout the year, financial reporting and other related KPIs.
* Management and professional development of a small team.
* Work closely with the Marketing Team to develop venue hire marketing campaigns.
* Develop key relationships with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring our commercial event offer is of a high standard. You will be comfortable in working collaboratively, working especially closely with our General Managers and Event Managers across all of our sites
* Lead on the implementation of centralised data capture in order to review site performance, customer feedback and aid future decision making.
* Responsible for analysing any trends and identifying ways to improve sales and the effectiveness of marketing commercial events.
* Leads events team meetings, ensuring knowledge share and best Undertakes regular competitor analysis and benchmarking.

* The role will require some presence on sites and travel between them.

Knowledge/Experience

You will have experience of events sales and marketing.

You will be comfortable with setting and meeting financial targets and KPIs.

You will also have experience of developing and delivering successful marketing plans and managing staff, contractor and supplier relationships.
