A global organisation are seeking a motivated, driven and experienced salesperson to take on the role of Sponsorship Sales Manager for a brand-new portfolio. This will be an integral role within the portfolio, working directly alongside the Portfolio Director to drive sales, revenue and growth of the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales manager looking for a change and to get in on the ground floor of a new and exciting business.

Key Responsibilities

* Ability to close sales
* Work with the Portfolio Director to gain a comprehensive understanding of the target audience/prospects for your portfolio of products
* Work directly with the Marketing team to generate new sales leads
* Research the market, generate and qualify new leads
* Conduct face-to face meetings with senior management from targeted clients
* Manage and implement sponsorship deliverables according to contracts
* Report key performance figures to the management team
* International travel required to attend trade shows and events

Key Requirements

* Minimum 3 years sales experience selling sponsorship packages for B2B, senior level business conferences and events
* Strong, proven seller with excellent sales figures
* Background in consultative business development and selling practices
* Hard working with a fast pace of work
* Ambitious and financially driven
* Articulate, intelligent and well presented
* Clear, demonstrable understanding of the sales process
* Ability to build a sales pipeline and provide quantitative reporting to management
* Experience using sales software such as, Salesforce, Goldmine etc.
* Experience of (and success) selling to non-UK (global) markets
* Self-starter/self-reliant
* Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
* Excellent command of written and spoken English
* Sound commercial awareness, excellent organisational skills
