A successful London based events management company responsible for creating sector-leading business-to-business events within HR and health is seeking a Head of Sales to join them on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for managing the sales team, managing existing accounts and generating new business through the usual channels, telephone, social media, email and occasionally face to face. Your role will be to sell the annual HR and Medical events to suppliers and sponsors, working closely with the MD in implementing the sales strategy.

Key responsibilities:

* Passionate about achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales teams and assessing the teams' strengths and weaknesses
* Working closely with marketing to create a sales and marketing strategy for the business
* Generating new business across our events, actively seeking out new sales opportunities through established accounts via our CRM, networking and social media
* Manage and grow existing accounts
* Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to post event feedback
* Represent the Summit brand and live up to its values - we have great reputation!
* Leadership and people management experience essential
* Working closely with the operations team pre and during the events

Person Specification

* You're a strong team leader with the ability to manage and inspire others in a way to get the most from the team
* You must be able to work closely with the rest of the team
* Excellent relationship builder, passionate about building new business with this skill
* Outstanding interpersonal skills, both within your team and with external partners
* You are confident with CRM management
* Creative and self-driven, always looking to solve problems
* Used to and comfortable with hitting deadlines
* Minimum of 5 years' sales experience
* Flexibility to adapt and change priorities according to business needs
* Experience from a HR background desirable but not essential
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Creative with a positive outlook on life
