An opportunity to be the lead marketer across a portfolio of prestigious B2B expo brands has become available on a permanent basis. You will be setting marketing strategies, and overseeing the execution of complex multi-channel marketing campaigns, in partnership with Senior Marketing Executive and Marketing Executive level support. You will be responsible (working in partnership with the Marketing Director) for setting, and then achieving, strategic marketing objectives (both metric and financial), and overseeing the execution of brilliant marketing campaigns, designed to contribute to the success of the expos / brands within their portfolio.

Strategic marketing planning

* Conduct detailed analysis projects and asses the market conditions ahead of campaign launch (in partnership with the Marketing Director, supported where appropriate by the Senior Marketing Executive / Marketing Executive).
* Generate actionable insights and identify key considerations, opportunities and challenges (in partnership with the Marketing Director, supported where appropriate by the Senior Marketing Executive / Marketing Executive).
* Create a detailed strategic marketing planning document (in partnership with the Marketing Director, supported where appropriate by the Senior Marketing Executive / Marketing Executive) to include:
* Insights and metrics identified through marketing analysis
* Data requirements (including segmentation)
* A robust budget, including cost-per-acquisition figures (per channel)
* Tactical considerations and recommendations.

Tactical campaign planning

* Oversee the creation of a robust, comprehensive, multi-channel tactical campaign plan, in partnership with Senior Marketing Executive / Marketing Executive. To include:
* Channel specific activities, week to week, month to month
* Comms considerations (campaign phases or topics)
* Stage targets, both monthly and weekly
* Relevant elements of the overall content plan (developed by the Conference Team), detailing how each content opportunity will be leveraged (channel by channel, week by week

Other

* Attend external events and assist the Marketing Team on-site as required (including overseas events).
* Participate in special projects as required by the Marketing Director
* Commission and/or write marketing copy as required.
* Commission / create / proof marketing collateral.
* Ensure event stakeholders are well briefed and kept updated on the progress of campaigns.
* Collaborate and contribute to multi-stakeholder portfolio projects and initiatives

Key attributes and competencies

* 4-5 years marketing experience (event marketing or business media experience essential).
* Exposure to strategic marketing concepts or tasks conducted to identity strategic insights.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A proven b2b copywriting background.
* Multi-channel campaign planning and execution experience.
* Excellent all-round digital marketing knowledge and hands-on channel expertise.
* Budgeting knowledge, including calculating / setting cost-per-acquisition figures (or similar).
