A high-profile membership organisation based in London are now looking for a Senior Training and Event Coordinator to join them on a permanent basis. As Senior Training and Events Coordinator, you will lead the Training and Events Coordinators in the day-to-day management of the events and training portfolio offered by the organisation to its members. You will be working on a portfolio of training courses and larger scale conferences and a small exhibition.

Duties include:

* Contributing to a year-on-year increase in revenue through the successful management of existing training courses and events, including ensuring that the delegate minimums are reached, and that corrective action is taken as early as necessary if a budget deficit is likely to arise
* Ensuring that every element of the training and events portfolio is properly risk and quality assessed, including reviewing and implementing relevant procedures and processes as appropriate.
* Managing the Training and Events Coordinators, including management of their performance, delivery and development.
* Working with the Training and Events Manager to ensure the smooth handling of logistics and high standards of delivery, including developing a strong understanding of the requirements for each training course and effectively allocating any associated administrative responsibilities to the Training and Events Coordinators.
* Leading on the management of bespoke bookings, including responding to expressions of interest and accurately calculating quotes based on the requirements of the customer
* Sourcing venues and online platforms as required, including negotiating fair rates that are in alignment with the forecasted expenditure and ongoing liaison regarding the logistics associated with the relevant event
* Producing post-event reports including attendance and feedback summaries and coordinating evaluation meetings to explore lessons learned and improve upon existing processes.
* The role requires working some weekday evenings (on average, once per week) and weekends (no more than one weekend day per month), for which the role holder would be appropriately remunerated

Skills and experience

* Educated to a degree level or relevant work experience.
* Comprehensive understanding of the profession and/or membership bodies.
* Demonstrable understanding of the technical skills required in to effectively manage multiple events and people simultaneously.
* Exhibition experience
* Proven administrative skills in respect of both training courses and events.
* Experience of producing written documentation such as joining instructions, exhibitor packs, feedback forms and event reports
* Strong demonstrable experience of line management and team leadership.
* IT literate, including with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
