A publishing company based in the city are looking for an experienced, successful Account Director to join one of their incredible teams, who are hugely passionate and dedicated to delivering commercially successful events and marketing solutions for the Health Service.

Key Purpose:

You will use your experience, drive and tenacity to maintain and grow a dedicated client base, whilst equally securing new clients relevant to our evolving products and services.

Your strong sales skill set, with demonstrable success in developing accounts, winning new business, and consistently achieving sales targets will help you to navigate senior leaders throughout the NHS and their NHS suppliers to encourage them to utilise our events via sponsorship and marketing services to meet their objectives and grow their businesses.

Core Responsibilities:

* Deliver / exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
* Proactively and strategically source and secure new business revenue in agreed territory whilst managing and growing existing accounts
* Develop a comprehensive sales plan that exceeds your monthly, quarterly and annual sales target
* Balance consultative selling with selling the range of products in the portfolio
* Deliver the activity needed to develop a pipeline three times your monthly target
* Seek, drive and maximise sponsorship partnership opportunities by avoiding discounting and focusing on the value proposition to drive up yield.
* Forecast effectively - weekly, monthly, quarterly
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with sponsors
* Build sponsorship spectrum, identify potential sponsors
* Follow the client through to delivery with internal functions
* Develop and maintain the brand values

Sales Management

* Make sufficient calls to develop the level of meetings required to meet your sales pipeline goals
* Keep salesforce up to date to provide the visibility required for your manager

* Develop and maintain constructive and collaborative working relationships with sales colleagues


* Strong people management skills, and relationship building experience
* Demonstrable experience of managing the growth and launch of commercial events portfolio across a number of different sectors
* Experience of entire event planning process: production, marketing, sales,
* Clear understanding of what makes events commercially successful and external economic factors which effect an event business
* 5 plus years people management experience in an events business
