Business Development and Commercial Director

Our client exists to deliver outstanding event experiences and bring ideas to life! They work for clients and create their own events across multiple markets, with expertise in all areas from the creative to the operational. With strong links to the Middle East region, it gives them a unique position to be able to identify event opportunities between the region and international markets and to create partnerships to deliver these. They deliver events to a client brief, either as part of a wider communications programme or as a standalone proposition

They require an experienced individual to lead the business development and customer facing side of their business, with responsibility for the acquisition of new business opportunities as well as the development of opportunities with the Group's existing client base.

Responsibilities include:

* Winning B2B event business from Clients eg Ministries, through direct engagement or via RFP process, then overseeing delivery via their own team and third parties
* Identifying partnership deal opportunities between international organisers and Middle East Ministries, negotiating to close and then ensuring relationship management to delivery
* Winning credible Partners for their own event concepts
* Developing and mentoring a business development team
* Developing a methodology for winning business
* Ensuring revenue goals are achieved
* Working closely with the delivery team
* Acting as a public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile
* Assessing problematic situations and occurrences and providing solutions to ensure company growth
* Business travel, especially to the Middle East, as required

The Individual will have successful experience of
